HTC has announced a new colour variant of the HTC One flagship dubbed ‘Glamour Red’.
The handset will be made available in the UK from ‘mid-July’ exclusively via retailer Phones4U.
- HTC One coming in Red and Blue, report claims

Aside from the colour everything else is the same, so you get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz, 2GB of RAM, an Adreno 320 GPU, 32GB of onboard storage and a 4.7-inch Full HD 1080p Super LCD 3 touch display.
Naturally being a current flagship the handset sports 4G LTE connectivity and also features MHL output and an infrared blaster – a bundled in app interface allows you to control your TV via the phone.
Pictures of a red version of the HTC One leaked online quite a while ago, before the phone actually launched in its regular silver/white and black iterations, in fact. There’s also been a rumour going round that HTC is making a blue version too.
One of the big appeals of the HTC One is the aluminium unibody which looks extremely slick and feels very premium in the hand. Adding a lick of red paint to the mix certainly makes for a striking device too.
You also get the 4-megapixel ‘Ultrapixel’ camera for enhanced image capture, complete with the HTC Zoe image editing suite. The HTC One uses Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with the HTC Sense 5 UI on top and this features BlinkFeed, a homescreen which shows you news and social networking updates on an attractive tiled feed.
Philip Blair, president of HTC Europe, Middle East and Asia, said: ‘We have always been committed to offering consumers the flexibility to share their personalities through their choice of mobile phone, whether through colour, customisation or features.”The new HTC One in Glamour Red showcases the power of our flagship model in a colour that demands attention, whilst maintaining the high standards set for sophisticated design and build quality,’ he added. There’s no word on a precise release date or pricing just at the moment. We’ll bring you more details as we get them.
