After numerous leaks, Lenovo has finally launched its Z5s smartphone in China. The smartphone is the latest addition to its Z5 series, which already has the Lenovo Z5 Pro. The smartphone adopts the latest design trend in the form of a waterdrop notch as well as a triple rear camera setup. Lenovo also announced that it will soon launch the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT which will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship Snapdragon 855 platform and up to 8GB RAM.

As mentioned, the Lenovo Z5s sports a waterdrop notch and slim bezels on a 6.3-inch LTPS display – Lenovo calls it “Microporous drop screen”. The display offers 92.6 percent screen-to-body ratio, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and 450nits peak brightness. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz and paired with Adreno 616 GPU. The storage is can be expanded up to 256GB using microSD card.

On the back, the Lenovo Z5s wears a gradient colour look and is protected by a glass with P2i nano anti-splatter coating. The smartphone sports a triple rear camera setup at the back stacked vertically on the top left corner. There is a flash that sits beneath the camera module, and centrally aligned fingerprint sensor. The triple rear camera setup looks like the one we have already seen in the P20 Pro.

The main camera has a 16MP main sensor with 6P lens and f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP telephoto lens and a 5MP wide-angle sensor. The company says that the Lenovo Z5s is equipped with Arcsoft zoom smooth algorithm to achieve 2 times lossless optical zoom, adjust panoramic real-time blur and a “Face tracking light source adjustment algorithm” for portraits. On the front there is a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
