The Samsung Galaxy Alpha features a 4.7-inch HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels and a pixel density of 312 ppi which is delivers vibrant and crisp visuals. The smartphone is built to carry a sophisticated outlook without compromising on the functionality. The pimpled panel on the back carries a soft matte finish which feels comfortable in the palm. The metal frame grabs attention by reflecting light. Being just 6.7mm thick, it is surely the most slender Galaxy smartphone till date. Its length and breadth of 132.4mm and 65.5mm respectively and weight of115g makes it easy to be held and carried around.
Processor and OS
The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz Cortex A7 quad-core CPU plus 1.8GHz Cortex A15 quad-core CPU loaded on Exynos 5 Octa 5430 chipset. It is aided by 2GB RAM and manages rich graphics with the Mali T628 MP6 GPU. The handset runs the latest Android v4.4.4 KitKat OS.
Camera, Storage and Other Features
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha flaunts a 12MP rear autofocus snapper which has a resolution of 4,128 x 3,096 pixels and is capable of producing UHD videos at 30fps. It supports features like LED flash, HDR, smile and face detection, geo-tagging, touch focus and panorama. On the front, you can find a 2.1MP shooter. It has an inbuilt memory of 32GB without any microSD slot.
The home button carries the fingerprint sensor and there is a heart rate monitor beside the camera at the back. The Private Mode feature lets you keep files hidden from spying eyes and the ultra power saving mode lets you capitalize on the battery fuel completely.
