Coming Soon in IDRIS ELECTRONICS
HTC Desire 8 phablet, which despite the “8” in the name is actually pegged to be a 5.5-inch device. The leak comes via Chinese site MyDrivers, which also reveals it will pack a 13-megapixel camera thought to be using the same “Ultrapixel” technology onboard the HTC One, while a 5-megapixel front-facing secondary is also mentioned. The design looks similar to the HTC One Max but it seems to be a unibody and looks like it’s made of polycarbonate rather than aluminium, it also features stereo front-facing speakers in a similar configuration to the HTC One models, but the speaker grilles use only six punched holes each for a more minimalist look. Allegedly it will be available in white, red, yellow, orange and cyan.At the moment there’s no word on the hardware specs or screen resolution and we’ve no clue on when it might launch or what regions it might be available in. However, if this product render is the real deal, that would suggest a launch isn’t far off. Could the Desire 8 appear at Mobile World Congress in a few weeks time.
