Karbonn mobiles has been the only Indian company that has given a tough competition to its compatriot, Micromax. Both the companies have similar devices in their portfolios. Right before the Micromax Canvas 4’s launch scheduled for July 8, Karbonn has launched its latest offering S9, in a bid to steal the Canvas 4’s thunder. The company has launched the Karbonn Titanium S9 which will be the next flagship device. The smartphone has a 5.5-inch screen with a 1280×720 pixels resolution.
Under the hood is a 1.2 GHz quad core processor and the latest iteration of Android, 4.2 Jelly Bean. Like all other budget smartphones, it will feature dual SIM functionality. The device will boast of a 13-megapixel rear camera with a LED flash at the back and the front camera unit will have a resolution of 5-megapixel.
Supplementing the processor will be a 1GB RAM which will ensure that you are never out of memory when multitasking. It gets an internal storage capacity of 16GB which is a big up from the paltry 4GB internal memory that the last crop of flagships from Indian manufacturers come with. It gets a microSD card slot as well which will be available for further memory expansion by another 32GB.
It has a pretty well rounded connectivity package which includes- 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. It also gets GPS for location based services. Powering it will be a 2,600 mAh battery which is expected to last a bit less than a day as it has a pretty big screen to power. It will come with a free flip cover as well for added protection. It will be available in white colour option initially and either black or blue variants are expected to join in at a later stage.
