Vivo Y71 has been launched quietly in India by the tech giant. The device looks like the downgraded version of the Vivo V7 smartphone. Running on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo operating system, the midrange device promises new experience for users.

Under the hood lies the Snapdragon 450 chip from Qualcomm with Octa-core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 8-cores of processor runs at a speed of 1.8GHz with 28nm process technology offering fast performance. The Adreno 506 graphics processor takes care of graphics.

Ships with 3GB of RAM for multitasking of light and heavy apps, tasks and games. There are two versions in terms of storage, there’s one with 32GB storage space, then there’s a much cheaper version with 16GB storage. Nonetheless, they are both upgradeable up to 256GB using a memory card. The Vivo Y71 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Funtouch OS skin.

A single 13MP rear camera is visible at the rear and ready for all your photography needs. The camera has lots of features like autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and others. Record videos of 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second, and take cute selfies with the 5MP selfie camera.

Powering the Vivo Y71 is a 3360mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery with no fast charging technology. Even without the fast charging feature, it shouldn’t take up to 2.3 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.
