Vivo Y71 appears on TENAA with 5.99” HD+ 18:9 display and Snapdragon 425 SoC

Vivo Y71 Now Available Only In Idris Electronics Authorised Dealer of Vivo Mobiles

The Vivo Y71 is rumored to be officially announced in China on the 5th of April, i.e. this Thursday. It will reportedly cost about 1,098 yuan in China (Rs.11,330 approx.). Since Vivo does sell its Y-series smartphones in the Indian market, we expect the Y71 to make its way here a few weeks after its debut in China. It is expected to be priced somewhere around the Rs.12,000 mark at launch in India, which would mean it will take on smartphones such as the Honor 9 Lite and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5.

According to the TENAA listings for the Y71 and Y71A variants, the smartphone will sport a 5.99-inch display with 720 x 1440 HD+ resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. Going by the images published by TENAA on its website, the Y71 will have a metal unibody design with visible antenna lines on the back. Powering the upcoming budget handset will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor, coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage.

In the camera department, Vivo Y71 includes a 13MP primary camera at the back and a 5MP resolution selfie snapper on the front. The battery inside is said to be a 3285mAh unit, although it remains unconfirmed if the handset will offer fast charging support. We don’t see any fingerprint sensor on the device, which is a little odd considering its price. As for physical dimensions, the TENAA listing reveals the Y71 measures 155.87 x 75.74 x 7.8mm and weighs in at 150 grams. In terms of software, the Vivo Y71 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with the company’s FunTouch OS on top.
