The Galaxy J7 (SM-J700F) will have a 5.5-inch HD TFT LCD display, a 1.2GHz or 1.5GHz octa-core Marvel PXA1936 processor, 1.5GB of RAM.
The Galaxy J5 (SM-J500F) will have a 5.0-inch HD TFT LCD display, a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 processor backed by 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and a MicroSD card slot. It will also have a 2600mAh battery, a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. The Galaxy J7 (SM-J700F) will have a 5.5-inch HD TFT LCD display, a 1.2GHz or 1.5GHz octa-core Marvel PXA1936 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, either 4 or 8GB of internal storage, a MicroSD card slot and a 3000mAh battery. The J7 will also have a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing camera, though the author stresses the possibility that the final version of both devices may launch with an 8MP rear shooter.
Additionally, the J5 will only measure 8.5mm thin and weigh 149g, while the J7 will measure 7.9mm and weigh 170g. Both devices will run Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box and will be 4G LTE compatible.
There’s no mention of the materials from which the J5 and J7 will be made, but assuming these devices follow in the footsteps of the J1, we’ll likely see an all-plastic phone to save on the cost. Since we just saw the launch of the J1 at the beginning of the year, these new budget smartphones probably won’t be announced for some time.
